Million Bones project

I was planning to share this with my graduate students tonight as an example of a collaborative art project that promotes conversation about global issues and involves students in a cause that moves them outside of the classroom. Intriguing to this artistic vision is the opportunity to connect to both science (biology and anatomy) and to social studies, world history and current events and potentially writing as well.  It demonstrates that artists can have big voices when they join together and contributing artists can feel like they have  joined with others in synthesizing an activist statement that is bigger than one person can accomplish alone. Indulgences on TED that will inspire
